Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie both instituted mandatory 21-day quarantines for medical workers who were returning from Africa after working with Ebola patients earlier last week, even if they weren't showing symptoms. Both Cuomo and Christie also said that the workers would not be allowed to quarantine in their own homes, The Times reported.
On Sunday, however, amid public discontent and pressure from presidential aides, Cuomo relented and said that the people that would be subject to the quarantine would be able to do so in their own home, The Times said.
