EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Eastchester Town Hall workers got in the spirit of breast cancer awareness month this week, donning their finest pink outfits.

On Friday, Town Supervisor Anthony Colavita joined in, wearing pink and jeans to support the cause.

For the past six years, Town Hall employees have had the option of wearing jeans on “casual Fridays” if they make a contribution to a charity of no less than $5 a month. The money is collected and donated to different charities and organizations throughout the year.

This year, the money collected over the last two months will be sent to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which continues to search for a way to end breast cancer.
