Eastchester Group Raises Money For Cancer Research

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Eastchester-based Paul Luisi Foundation hosted its fifth annual gala on Friday at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, raising more than $30,000 for pediatric cancer research.

All proceeds from the event were donated to the pediatric cancer research department at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, under the direction of Dr. Mitchell Cairo.

Brenda and John Fareri, the parents of the hospital’s namesake, were celebrated at the event.

Since its establishment in 2007, the Paul Luisi Foundation has donated more than $230,000 to pediatric cancer research.
