The water will be flushed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for several days. There may be a decrease in water pressure or slight discoloration of water in the areas where the hydrants are being operated.

During the flushing period, residents are advised to check cold water for discoloration. Residents that experience discolored water should run cold water in a basement sink for 15 to 20 minutes, which should clear the problem.

If water is discolored, it should be flushed before attempting to do laundry. Workers with United Water New Rochelle will have identification cards available for security purposes.
