EASTCHESTER, N.Y. A man stole more than $500 worth of seafood from the Fresh Market on White Plains Road, Eastchester police Lt. Jeffrey Hunter said.
Police received a call at 2:43 p.m. Monday from the seafood manager, who reported that a man had made off with lobster tails and king crab legs worth more than $500.
Police canvassed the area but did not find the thief.
The following items also were reported by Eastchester police:
Hit and Run: A man reported that his car was struck while parked at a meter on Scarsdale Avenue. The man left his 2010 Mercedes-Benz parked while he went to dinner, and returned to find that the driver-side door was pushed in.
Larceny: An employee of the Fresh Market on White Plains Road reported cash missing from her wallet at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday. The employee left her purse in the basement of the building, and when she returned for it, she found that $800 was missing.
Identity Theft Attempt: A fraudulent transaction was made Thursday morning from an Eastchester residents personal checking account. The man reported that his checking account was used to pay a Consolidated Edison bill for $789.71 that wasnt his. His bank is investigating the charges.
