Eastchester To Set Up Emergency Shelter

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – An emergency shelter for displaced residents will be set up Monday afternoon at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester as Hurricane Sandy approaches, police said.

With the most intense weather from Hurricane Sandy set to hit the area between 2 and 11 p.m. Monday, the shelter will serve residents who lose power or suffer damages from the storm.
