EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Town of Eastchester has a new emergency notification that can send messages in various ways.
Through Swift911, Eastchester can send messages through emails, texts and voice calls. The old system will be deactivated on March 1.
Residents can choose the format as well as the different types of alerts they would like to receive. Types of alerts include library, recreation, senior programs, assessor and tax notices.
Registrants will automatically receive emergency notification and general information such as town agendas and police alerts. They can opt in to receive additional alerts.
A Swift911 Public App is also available for Android, iPhone and Windows phones.
