Eastchester, Tuckahoe Town Hall Closed Again Tuesday

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Eastchester Town Hall will remain closed on Tuesday, as residents and town officials begin recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

Trash pick-up was cancelled and the Eastchester Public Library also remained closed. The emergency shelter at Lake Isle Country Club will stay open for residents without power or housing.

Tuckahoe canceled Village Court and Mayor Steve Ecklond closed the village offices. An announcement regarding whether schools and Village Hall will be open on Wednesday is expected on Tuesday night.

Eastchester will make an announcement regarding the re-opening of Town Hall and garbage pickup Tuesday night.
