Firefighters Battle Three-Alarm Blaze At Mount Vernon Mixed-Use Building

MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Firefighters are battling a three-alarm fire that began at about 5 p.m. in a mixed-use building in Mount Vernon on Friday, according to multiple reports.

Heavy smoke has been seen at 16 North Bond Street, in which the top two floors are apartments and the bottom floor appears to be for commercial use, WABC 7 reports.

No injuries have been reported and residents in nearby buildings were evacuated, WABC reports.

Firefighters from White Plains and Yonkers are assisting in battling the blaze.
