Tyler Sick, the 29-year-old Tarrytown man who teaches in New York City and formerly served as an assistant coach at Edgemont High School, appeared in Tarrytown Village Court for a brief appearance, a day after he appeared in Greenburgh Town Court to answer a separate charge.

Sick saw his case adjourned until next month as lawyers continue evaluating evidence and building their cases. Details of the Tarrytown case have not been released by officials at the prosecutors' request.

A complaint that Sick had been involved with illegal sexual contact with a minor led to the investigation conducted by the Special Victims Unit detectives were assisted by the Special Prosecutions Division of the Office of the Westchester County District Attorney, the Westchester County Children’s Advocacy Center and the Village of Tarrytown Police.

It is alleged that Sick had sexual contact with the minor for more than a year, beginning in December 2016. The nature of the sexual contact has not been disclosed by officials. Following his arrest, Sick was dismissed from his position as the assistant varsity wrestling coach. He has also been reassigned from his teaching position in the Bronx without pay.
