Girls between kindergarten and twelfth-grade can join to "learn new things, make new friends, do service for your school and community, take great trips, play interesting games and lots more," according to a news release from Girl Scouts of America.
Adults looking to join can "become a leader or co-lead with a friend," according to the release. No prior experience is required and being a parent who works outside the home does not negate eligibility according to the release.
The Girl Scouts groups will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Tuckahoe/Eastchester Girl Scout Cabin at 119 Highland Ave. in Eastchester. The cost for membership is $15 plus nominal troop dues.
