From 1 to 5 p.m. on May 18 at the Tuckahoe Community Center, appraiser Rusty Hesse will evaluate and price items.

The first item will cost $10 to be appraised, and it will be $5 for the second and third. Those interested in seeing Hesse at work can attend for a $5 admission fee. The appraiser requested that those participating not bring diamonds, firearms or large pieces of furniture.

Hesse is a certified auctioneer and appraiser with the New England Appraisers Association.

All proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Friends of the Tuckahoe Public Library, which supports programs at the library throughout the year.
