Hurricane Sandy Knocks Out Power To 2,625 In Eastchester

UPDATE, 9:25 p.m.: There are 2,625 customers without power in Eastchester, according to the Con Edison outage map.

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – More than 180 customers in Eastchester had lost power because of Hurricane Sandy as of 6 p.m. Monday, according to Consolidated Edison.

As of 8 p.m., 1,546 customers reported power outages, including a building outage that affected 54. On Hathaway road, 41 customers lost power. 

Service wires went down on Park Drive, causing two outages that affected a dozen residents. Power also went out on Claudet Way, affecting seven customers.

Other outages occurred on Dusenberry Road, Rose Avenue and Bella Vista Street.

Con Edison serves 7,900 customers in Eastchester.
