I-287 Lanes To Be Narrowed As TZ Bridge Work Continues

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westbond lanes on Interstate 287 will be narrowed and speed limits will be lowered to 45 mph to help make way for the new Tappan Zee Bridge, according to LoHud.com.

All four westbound lanes near the Tappan Zee Bridge will be narrowed to make way for construction of the new bridge.

The changes will be made between Exit 9 and the bridge starting on Tuesday, Spet. 30, as workers begin to shift the lanes, LoHud.com reported.

Once the lane shift is complete, there will still be four westbound lanes but they will each be six inches narrower, LoHud.com said.
