"My office is high up in the building, but the windows are white," she said. "It's just crazy."

Chemka was hopeful that flights could resume soon but said, "It's up to the airlines at this point."

Westchester Airport had been operating on generator power since Tuesday — more than a week after Hurricane Sandy had knocked out power.

She said the conditions with Sandy and the nor'easter have been difficult for the airport and its officials.  Original story: WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. — Several flights were canceled Wednesday at Westchester County Airport, with an impending nor'easter set to hit the region.

Although some flights were on schedule, including those into and out of Atlanta, many have been canceled, including those to and from Chicago, because of the storm that was already producing snow across Westchester.

Customers should check with their airlines about the status of their flights.
