Report: Body Matching Description Of Missing Eastchester Woman Found

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Eastchester Police reported late Friday that a body fitting the description of missing 88-year-old resident Catherine "Kay" Carter was found in the Bronx River near Leewood Drive.

According to a report by The Journal News, the Westchester County Police said a volunteer searcher found a hat and reported it to local police at 4 p.m. Friday.

An Eastchester Police officer saw the body in the water. Carter, who suffers from dementia, had been missing since Tuesday. Police officers and volunteers had been searching the wooded areas near her home on Garth Road where Cotter lived with her son.
