MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. — Child abuse allegations against Douglas Kennedy, son of the late Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a Fox News broadcaster, have been dismissed according to a report in the New York Post.
Kennedy was arrested on Jan. 7 and charged with misdemeanor child endangerment for allegedly twisting the wrist of one of the nurses at Northern Westchester Hospital and kicking another in the groin. According to police reports, the nurses tried to intervene as Kennedy tried to take his newborn infant son outside for some "fresh air." In addition to criminal charges, the case was referred to the State Office of Children and Family Services.
According to the published report, an investigation conducted by the state Office of Children and Family Services concluded that "no credible evidence was found to believe that the child has been abused or maltreated."
Timothy Haydock, a doctor at the hospital and a reported friend of the Kennedy family, was present during the altercation and said the broadcaster did nothing wrong.
“I witnessed the incident and I can state unequivocally that the nurses were the only aggressors,” Haydock was quoted as saying.
Kennedy is due back in Mount Kisco Justice Court on April 12 to answer to criminal charges.

From what I have read so far the nurses were doing what they were supposed to do. It seems that the Kennedy's are never far from controversy. The only people that will suffer any adverse effects from this incident will be those caring hard working nurses. As usual the people doing what they are supposed to do get it in the neck!!
