Scarsdale Resident Struck By Vehicle in Tuckahoe

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. — A motorist on Main Street in Tuckahoe struck a 61-year-old Scarsdale resident crossing the road Friday morning.

The driver, a 34-year-old Yonkers resident, was traveling east on Main Street when she attempted to make a left turn onto Marbledale Road, striking the pedestrian with her 2010 Nissan Altima. Tuckahoe Police Lt. Ray Stabile said police believe sun glare played a role in the accident.

The victim suffered a laceration to her head and was complaining of pain in her left hip. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville for treatment.

No summons was issued to the driver. Police administered a field sobriety test, with negative results.
