SCARSDALE, N.Y. – There will be an overnight closure to all traffic at the Popham Road Bridge, beginning on Monday night, the village of Scarsdale announced.

All motorists and pedestrians will be detoured beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 2 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3.

“The bridge closure is necessary for the contractor to relocate the traffic barricades for the Stage III revised traffic pattern,” the announcement said.

Westbound Popham Road vehicular traffic will be detoured south on Scarsdale Avenue west to Harney Road, then north to Garth Road and back to Popham Road.

Eastbound Popham Road drivers will be detoured south on Garth Road east to Harney Road, then north on Scarsdale Avenue and back to Popham Road.

During the construction, pedestrians must use the Metro-North and Freightway Parking Garage pedestrian bridges to cross over the Metro-North Railroad tracks.
