The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for the county, which will remain in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday. An estimated 10 to 14 inches of snow is possible throughout the day.

Winds and low visibility are likely, and will cause dangerous driving conditions. The storm could also cause downed tree limbs and power lines, according to the National Weather Service.

No power outages or highway closures were reported in Westchester as of 8 a.m. However, drivers are advised to stay off the roads during the storm.

The strongest winds and heaviest snow are expected Friday night, when temperatures are expected to drop to the low 20s. As much as three to seven inches of snow could accumulate during the day, with another six to 10 inches at night. Winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour are expected, with gusts as high as 45 miles per hour.

This will cause dangerous driving conditions with visibility near zero.

For Metro-North commuters, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) has added trains Friday afternoon, but fewer will be in service Friday night because of the storm.
