Tuckahoe Trustees Propose $11.7 Million Village Budget

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – The Tuckahoe Board of Trustees, with assistance from the Citizens Budget Advisory Committee, has submitted a tentative $11.7 million village budget for the 2013-2014 year.

The proposed budget is a $700,000 increase from the current budget. The Library Fund will again receive $458,850.

The village will spend more than $3.5 million on employee benefits, a small increase from the current budget, while the Police Department has been allocated $3.2 million, together comprising more than half of the village budget. Nearly $4.7 million will be spent on village employee salaries.

In all, the proposed budget is very similar to last year,'s increasing from $10.6 million to $11.3 million. The full budget can be found online.

Residents will have the opportunity to vote on the tentative budget next month.
