What To Do Around Eastchester This Week

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – A Tuckahoe Village Board meeting, a luncheon at the Bronxville Women’s Club and a reading workshop highlight the events planned around Eastchester this week.

Monday, Feb. 4

Teen movie: 6 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will screen a film for students in grades six and above. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Board of Education budget: 7:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Board of Education will have a workshop as it continues to work on the next budget. 65 Siwanoy Blvd., Eastchester.

Village Board: 8 p.m. The Tuckahoe Village Board will meet for the only meeting of the month. 65 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

Tax help: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The AARP will offer free tax advice for residents at the Eastchester Public Library. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Valentine craft: 4 p.m. Kids can visit the Tuckahoe Public Library for a special Valentine’s Day craft. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

PTA meeting: 7:30 p.m. There will be a joint meeting with the Anne Hutchinson and Greenvale PTAs. 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Lunch and Bridge: Noon. Enjoy a catered lunch and spend the afternoon at the Bronxville Women’s Club for bridge and other table games. $30. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.

Afternoon film: 12:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host a screening of “Trouble With the Curve,” for adults. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Teen Book Club: 4 p.m. Students in grades six and above will discuss “The Amulet – A Graphic Novel.” 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

SEPTA meeting: 7 p.m. Teach your children to be more proficient readers with a special workshop with professor Carolyn Polchinski. 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Comedy Night: 8 p.m. The New Rochelle Jewish Coalition will join Israel Bonds to present a comedy night at the JCC of Mid-Westchester. $36. 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale.
