Tuesday, June 5

Tao of Everest: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. British mountaineer Ian Woodall, who has climbed Mount Everest by both its south and north sides, is giving a free presentation at the REI Yonkers sporting goods store. 49 Fitzgerald Street, off Ridge Hill Boulevard at Westchester's Ridge Hill mall , Yonkers.

Town Board: 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The biweekly Eastchester Town Board meeting will be held at the Town Hall auditorium. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.

Wednesday, June 6

Adult movie: Noon. The Tuckahoe Public Library is hosting a movie for adults. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Library Board of Trustees: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The library board will meet at the Eastchester Public Library. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Underage Drinking: 7:30 p.m. The Eastchester Communities That Care coalition is hosting a community forum titled "Whose Kid is It? Parents and Teens Understanding Underage Drinking." The forum will address the results of the 2011 youth survey. Teens and parents can hear what progress has been made and what challenges teens face. The forum is free. Thursday, June 7

Memoir Workshop: Noon. A writing workshop at the Tuckahoe Public Library will teach residents how to write their memoirs. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Architectural Review Board: 7 p.m. The Architectural Review Board will hold a brief meeting at the Town Hall auditorium. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.

“Get Out More” Presentation: 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Backpacker magazine's Get Out More team -- Sheri and Randy Propster -- present a 75-minute seminar with trail-tested tips, regional trip advice and loads of outdoor gear. It's an opportunity to learn from the experts, and you'll have a chance to win prizes. Through the Get Out More Tour, Backpacker delivers advice for long-distance hikers as well as first-time backpackers. Westchester's Ridge Hill mall, 1 Ridge Hill Boulevard, Yonkers.
