EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Two months of rehearsals culminate this weekend in the Eastchester High School Players Club production of "Beauty and the Beast." For more activities planned for the weekend, see the events calendar .

Friday, April 20

"Beauty and the Beast": 7:30 p.m. The classic Disney musical is presented by the Eastchester High School Players Club . The cost is $12 for adults, $8 for students, and advance sales have closed. Some tickets will be available at the door. Eastchester High School, 580 White Plains Road.

Sarah Lawrence String Orchestra: 8 p.m. Sungrai Sohn conducts the Sarah Lawrence String Orchestra. For more information, call 914-395-2412. Sarah Lawrence College's Reisinger Concert Hall, 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.

Anne Hutchinson fifth-graders get award: 1 p.m. Dave O'Neill's fifth-grade class will get a county-wide award for their recycling efforts at the annual Westchester Earth Day festivities at Kendrick Plaza in Valhalla.

Cassatt Quartet: 3 p.m. Scarsdale composer Gerald Cohen's "Playing for Our Lives" will be among the featured pieces when the Cassatt String Quartet plays at Shaarei Tikvah. The synagogue's annual concert also is Shaarei Tikvah's observance of Yom Hashoah — Holocaust Remembrance Day. The concert is open to the public, no tickets required. A $20 suggested donation will be welcomed at the door; part of the proceeds will go to the Anne Frank Center in New York City. 46 Fox Meadow Road, Scarsdale.
