Friday, April 27

Eastchester Library Book Sale: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friends of the Eastchester Library holds its book sale to raise money for the library. Sale runs through 2 p.m. Monday. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Author book signing at fundraiser: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuckahoe's David Carraturo will hand out signed copies of his book "Cameron Nation" to the first 75 shoppers to stop by Lord & Taylor's Shop Smart, Do Good fundraising event. 750 White Plains Ave.

Arbor Day Celebration: 4 p.m. Arborist Michael Marks will lead the Eastchester Girl Scouts in planting 200-plus saplings in the town's Magical Treeture Nursery. Highland Avenue and California Road, Eastchester.

Dancing With Our Stars and Cupcake Wars: 7 p.m. Students, teachers and administrators take to the stage for a dance contest at the Eastchester High School gym. There will also be a cupcake contest. The events are fundraisers for the school's sophomore class and Gilda's Club Westchester. 2 Stewart Place.

Saturday, April 28

SAT Boot Camp: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Eastchester High School PTA is offering a brush-up opportunity for students to finalize their preparation for the May 5 SAT exam. Fee for the two-day program is $165. Eastchester High School, 2 Stewart Place.

Prescription Drug Disposal: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in conjunction with the Eastchester village government and Eastchester Communities That Care will collect unused and unwanted prescription drugs for disposal as a way to help reduce prescription drug abuse and protect the environment. Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 257 Main St.

Crestwood Street Fair: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Numerous food, craft and boutique vendors, children's activities and more to raise money for the Tuckahoe Beautification Committee. Crestwood Station Plaza, Fisher and Columbus avenues, Tuckahoe.
