Friday, May 18

Free film: 1 p.m. Eastchester Public Library will hold a free screening of the Academy Award-nominated “War Horse.” 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

"The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)": 8 p.m. Tibi Confidas Theatre Troupe debuts with a fast-paced comedy. Our Lady of Fatima Church (Breen Hall), 5 Strathmore Road, Scarsdale.

Saturday, May 19

Westchester Festival of the Arts: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Original artwork created by national and international artisans. For sale will be art created by painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, digital artists, glass, fiber and ceramic artists along with creations in mixed-media, metal, and wood. Chase Road, Scarsdale.

Eastchester Traffic Expo: Noon to 3 p.m. The 10th annual event encourages safety for kids and adults while providing an afternoon of entertainment for all ages. There will be a fire department smoke house, child safety seat installations, free bike helmets, photo ID and fingerprinting and safety demonstrations. Also, there will be performances by Studio B Dancers, a martial arts group and several exhibits. Town Hall grounds, 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.

"Celebration 2012: The Music of Our Time": 6 to 8 p.m. The Hoff-Barthelson Music School's year-long Compose Yourself! project will include performances of the student works written throughout the year. Hoff-Barthelson Music School, 25 School Lane, Scarsdale.
