EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There's plenty going on this weekend in and around Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville, culminating with Monday's Memorial Day ceremonies. For more activities in the region, see our events calendar.

Friday, May 25

Great Reptile & Amphibian Hunt: 1:30 p.m. Children from grades K-5 can hunt through the Weinberg Nature Center's wetlands to find as many reptiles and amphibians as possible. Games, interactive demonstrations, crafts, nature walk and live animals. $30. 455 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

"The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)": 8 p.m. Tibi Confidas Theatre Troupe debuts with a fast-paced comedy. Our Lady of Fatima Church (Breen Hall), 5 Strathmore Road, Scarsdale.

Saturday, May 26

Bronxville Farmers Market: 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., live alpacas (weather permitting), Stone Place and Paxton Ave., Bronxville

For Shear Pleasure: 11 a.m. Sheep shearing at the Greenburgh Nature Center. Touch the wool and get a chance to try carding, hand spinning and a craft. Meet and help feed other barnyard animals. 99 Dromore Road, Greenburgh.

Memorial Day Music Fest: Noon to 7 p.m. Free concert in the park featuring high school and college musicians. Chase Park, Chase Road, Scarsdale.

Sunday, May 27

Feeding Fun: 11 a.m. Be on hand for feeding time at the Greenburgh Nature Center. 99 Dromore Road, Greenburgh.

Monday, May 28

Bronxville Memorial Day Parade: 9 a.m. Parade begins at the Lawrence Hospital, 55 Palmer Ave., and travels down Pondfield Road to the front of the Bronxville School. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will join veterans laying wreaths around the flagpole to honor those who have fallen in war while taps is played.

Bronxville Memorial Service: 11:30 a.m. Memorial service at Holy Mount Cemetery honors fallen soldiers. Local politicians, residents and scouts will join veterans, and flowers and flags will be placed on veterans' graves.

Eastchester-Tuckahoe Memorial Day Ceremonies: 5 p.m. Parris Island Marching Band leads a parade including high school bands and other music groups, veterans, police and fire units, floats and many other organizations. It begins at the Eastchester Public Library, makes its way south down White Plains Road and ends at Depot Square in Tuckahoe, where there will be a small ceremony and a concert in front of the Generoso Pope building. Immediately following the parade, there will be a Memorial Day barbecue with hot dogs, hamburgers and an ice cream truck. Any child who approaches a Marine on Monday at the barbecue and shakes his or her hand to thank them for their service will get a ticket for free ice cream. Depot Square, near Columbus Avenue and Main Street intersection, Tuckahoe.
