What's Open/Closed In Eastchester On Columbus Day

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Here is a list of public places around Eastchester and Scarsdale that are open and closed Monday in commemoration of Columbus Day.

The Village of Scarsdale 

  • Scarsdale schools are closed.
  • The Scarsdale Public Library is closed.
  • Scarsdale Village Hall is open.
  • The Scarsdale Post Office is closed.
  • Garbage pickup will take place on Tuesday and Thursday. 

The Town of Eastchester

  • Eastchester schools are closed.
  • The Eastchester Public Library is closed.
  • Eastchester Town Hall is closed.
  • The Eastchester Post Office is closed.
  • Lake Isle Country Club will be open and hosting a Columbus Day carnival.
  • Garbage pickup north of Mill Road will take place on Tuesday and Thursday. South of Mill Road will remain unchanged. 

The Village of Tuckahoe

  • Tuckahoe schools are closed.
  • The Tuckahoe Public Library is closed.
  • Tuckahoe Village Hall is closed.
  • The Tuckahoe Post Office is closed.
  • Garbage pickup will occur on Tuesday, and Tuesday bulk pickup will be collected with yard waste on Thursday.

The New HavenHarlem and Hudson lines on the Metro-North Railroad will operate on a normal weekday schedule.
