Amerigo Cavuoto, 85, Of Tuckahoe

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – Amerigo Cavuoto, a lifelong resident of Tuckahoe, died Wednesday, July 16. He was 85.

Cavuoto was born July 31, 1929, to Angelo and Angelina (nee Varrichio) Cavuoto. He worked as a carpenter for over 60 years until retiring.

He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.

Cavuoto is survived by his wife, Antoinette (nee Ferrante); four children, Suzzanne Cameli and her husband, Michael; Patricia, Richard and Deanna Mullen and her husband, Jack, six grandchildren, Nicole and Adriana Cameli, Kristopher and Matthew Bunis, Grace and Christa Mullen; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visiting hours are Friday, July 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 18, at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
