Anne Stamegna, 85, Longtime Resident Of Eastchester

YONKERS, N.Y. - Anne Stamegna of Yonkers, and a longtime resident of Eastchester, died Dec. 13. She was 85.

Stamegna was born in 1929, to Renato and Nicoletta (Tanaglia) Ciciola. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon Schools, and went on to get her Bachelor's degree in Education from New Paltz Teachers College. She also received her Master's of Science in Education from Manhattanville College. She taught for 33 years at the Hutchinson School in Pelham.

Stamegna is survived by her brother, Rocco; daughter, Jane; son, Robert; two grandchildren; and a grandson-in-law. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; brothers, Emilio (Neil) and Anthony; and sister, Teresa.  

Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 15 and Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Yannantuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, Disabled Veterans or St. Jude's Hospital.
