EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Dr. Morton Steinberg of Eastchester died Dec. 7. He was 88.
Dr. Steinberg was a graduate of Syracuse University and Temple University School of Dentistry, he practiced in New Rochelle for almost 50 years. He was co-founder and former president of Alternate Pathways and Group Residences of Westchester (GROW) and a board member of Westchester ARC. He was a founder of The Observer, a local weekly alternative newspaper during the 1970s.
Dr Steinberg is survived by his wife, Anne; children, Jo (Barry), Lynn (Bill), Michael, Brenna (Russell) and Peter (Caroline); and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Garlick Funeral Home, 14 Lecount Place, New Rochelle.
