JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - Florence M. Kravatz, died March 20 in Florida. She was 95.
Kravatz was born in the Bronx, on Nov., 8, 1917, to Andrew and Mary (Kozlowski) Jaroszewski and lived in Tuckahoe for 36 years before moving to Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
She retired from AT&T in 1978 after 22 years as a switchboard operator. She was a eucharistic minister and member of the Rosary Sodality at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe.
Kravatz is survived by her brother, Walter; daughter, Ronnie (Greg) Burghardt; 11 grandchildren and their spouses; 19 great-grand children; son-in-law, Joe and daughter-in law Marylin; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Michael; brothers, Eddie, Joey, and Stanley; daughter, Mariann Alberti; son, Michael.
Calling hours are Friday, March 22 at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. from 3 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Church, Tuckahoe, with burial to follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y.
