Homer LaPolice Sr., 82, Eastchester Korean War Vet

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Homer E. LaPolice Sr. of Eastchester died Friday, July 27. He was 82.

Born March 3, 1930, in Greenwich, Conn., he was the son of Homer and Helen LaPolice. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann, in 1989. Homer LaPolice retired from Gaynor News in 1992. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War.

LaPolice is survived by four children, Carol Sanders, Virginia LaPolice, Homer LaPolice Jr. and Mary Martins; two brothers, Fred and Billy; three sisters, Bonnie, Edith and Betty Ann; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by a brother, Frankie; and two sisters, Hazel and Marjorie.

Wake and funeral services were held Monday. Yannatuono Burr Davis Sharpe Funeral Home in Mount Vernon handled arrangements.
