Michelina M. Lagana, 81, Waitress At The Eastchester Odyssey Diner

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Michelina M. Lagana of Eastchester died Saturday, Dec. 13. She was 81.

Lagana was born May 8, 1933, to Pasquale Luciano and Mary DeNitto Boettincher, in White Plains. She graduated from the White Plains Schools and for a short time worked in Robert Hall. She was a waitress and hostess at the Eastchester Odyssey Diner in Eastchester for many years.

Lagana is survived by her children, Madeline McDougal (James) of Mahopac and Maria Lagana (Gary Schleiter) of Newtown, Conn.; sister, Angelina Shiboski; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; daughter, Constance Lagana Gizzo (Vincent) of Yonkers; and sisters, Concetta Beekman and Josephine Palma.

Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 15 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in White Plains.
