TUCKAHOE, N.Y. Noel James DeGaetano of Tuckahoe died Sunday, Aug. 26. He was 69.
DeGaetano was the longtime director of the Noel Fine Art Gallery in Tuckahoe.
Born June 21, 1943, he was the son of Dominick DeGaetano and the late Edith DeGaetano. He began his career as an assistant of sculptor Louise Nevelson and received a fellowship grant to pursue his art through the Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos, N.M. DeGaetano was a visual artist whose work was exhibited internationally and is part of many collections.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna DeGaetano; a son, Noah DeGaetano; a daughter, Kira DeGaetano Souzza; a brother, Robert DeGaetano; and two grandchildren.
Memorial visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester. A service will held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. Gus Badgely officiating.
