Retired Bronxville Chief Carl Steinmuller

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Carl H. Steinmuller, of Rye, retired Chief of Police for the Village of Bronxville, died Thursday, June 2.

He was the husband of the late Eileen; father of Marie (Scott) Fischer; grandfather of Eric; and brother of Gin.

Steinmuller served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then joined the Bronxville Police Department in 1952, and retired as chief in 1992.

Calling hours are on Sunday, June 5, from 2-6 p.m. at the Fred H. McGrath & Son, Funeral Home, Bronxville. A service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m.
