Teresa Varrichio, 95, Longtime Eastchester Resident

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Teresa (Morrone) Varrichio, a resident of Eastchester for 50 years and Nanuet for eight years, died Saturday, Oct. 12. She was 95.

Varrichio was born June 6, 1918, to Anthony and Mary Morrone in the Bronx. She was a member of the Rosary Society of Immaculate Conception Church and a supporter of Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a member of the senior groups in Eastchester and Nanuet.

Varrichio is survived by her children, Camille Li Puma (Tom) and Anthony (Sherrie); five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Varrichio; four sisters; and two brothers.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Sorce Funeral Homes Inc, 728 W. Nyack Road, West Nyack. A Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. at Immaculate Conception Church, 55 Winterhill Road, Tuckahoe. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
