Thomas Hannigan, 78, Formerly Of Eastchester

HARRISON, N.Y. – Thomas J. Hannigan of Harrison, and formerly of Eastchester, died Sept. 8. He was 78. 

Born July 15, 1934, in Bronxville, he was the son of John J. and Nettie Holdridge Hannigan. He served in the Army at Fort Sill in Oklahoma before going to work as a credit manager.  

Hannigan most recently worked for the Bank of New York. He was also a Mason, serving as a Past Master in Harrison and as a member of John Jay Lodge. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Alexander Hannigan; four children, Thomas A. (Ann) Hannigan, Tara (Russell) Crawford, Deborah Hannigan and Jane Hannigan; three sisters, Barbara Peters, Mary (Al) Dorio and Shirley Hannigan; three brothers, Peter (Kay) Hannigan, Robert (Carol) Hannigan and Ronald Hannigan; and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Francis and Daniel Hannigan. 

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Coxe and Graziano Funeral Home in Mamaroneck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory's Church in Harrison. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla. 

Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital.
