On Thursday morning, while working at his office, the 62-year-old Quigley suffered a cardiac arrest. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Jonaitis and his three children.

Quigley was a civic servant in the village for nearly three decades. He was the founding member and first president of the Tuckahoe School Foundation and a trustee for the past five years.

Tuckahoe Mayor Steve Ecklond said Quigley was a giving man whose family was his priority. Arrangements and information regarding services have not yet been released from the mayor's office.

“We are all heartbroken with the news of Steve's passing. He will be remembered by all as a wonderful family man and great public servant,” he said. “His compassion for our residents and our community will be a part of his legacy and we are grateful he shared this with us.”
