Vietnam Veteran From Westchester Ralph Giordano Dies At 70

Westchester native Ralph J. Giordano, 70, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Melbourne, Florida.

Ralph was born in Mount Vernon. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and had been an Operating Engineer for the City of New York prior to his retirement.

Ralph was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Friends of Jupiter Beach. His family also remembers him as one who loved animals.

Survivors include his sister, Carol (Mitchel) Freeman; brothers, Vincent (Ellyn) Giordano, Jr. and Paul (Patricia) Giordano; Aunt and Godmother, Laura D'Avanzo all of Sebastian; seven nieces and nephews and three grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Mary Giordano.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Jupiter Beach, P. O. Box 791, Jupiter, Florida 33468-0791.

The family will receive friends 5 p.m. to-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Strunk Funeral Home in Sebastian with a prayer service beginning at 6 p.m. followed by the Sebastian Area Veterans’ Honor Guard providing military honors.
