Warren W. Walsh, 77, Of Eastchester, Served On Board Of Education

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Warren W. Walsh of Eastchester died May 7. He was 77.

Walsh was born Jan. 17, 1936, to William and Lillian (Hermann) Walsh in the Bronx. He worked as a fuel oil salesman for Exxon in the Bronx.

He served on the Eastchester Board of Education for nine years, and was also president for two years. He was a member of the Eastchester Lions Club, and served as Boy Scout leader. He has been a volunteer as a tour guide at the Bronx Zoo for over 10 years, as well as at the Eastchester Child Development Center (ECDC). He was also secretary of the Eastchester Historical Society.

Walsh is survived by his wife, Georgiene (Rinko) Walsh; children, Michael (Nancy) Walsh and Valerie (Gabe) Palacio; and five grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Friday, May 10 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at The Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 11 at 9 a.m. at the Assumption Church, Tuckahoe. Burial will take place at the Holy Mount Cemetery, Eastchester.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made  in Walsh's memory to the Bronx Zoo Wildlife Conservation Society, 2300 Southern Boulevard, Bronx NY 10460.
