Police: Eastchester Residence Burglarized Overnight With Homeowners There

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - The Eastchester Police Department is investigating a home burglary that was reported overnight in the Bronxville Manor section of town while the homeowners were at the property.

On Friday, police announced that they had launched an investigation into a burglary that took place in the early hours of Monday morning in the vicinity of Rose Avenue and Crawford Street in Eastchester.

According to police, “it is to be noted that the residents were home at the time of the burglary, but may have, inadvertently and unintentionally, left a garage door ajar.” In an alert to residents, police advised homeowners to lock their doors and windows, set alarms and call if they see a suspicious person or vehicle in their neighborhood.

The investigation into the burglary is ongoing. Anyone with information can call the Eastchester Police Department Detective Division at (914) 961-3464. Homeowners with video surveillance at their homes have been asked to review the footage between the hours of 11 p.m. on Thursday night and 6 a.m. on Friday morning.
