Tuckahoe Group Home Workers Plead Guilty In Abuse Of Disabled Patient

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – Two employees of a Tuckahoe group home have pleaded guilty for their role in injuring a developmentally disabled patient, according to lohud.com.

Monsurat Dindi, 54, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a felony charge of second-degree endangering the welfare of a vulnerable elderly person or an incompetent or physically disabled person, and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, lohud.com reported.

Maxine Smith, 44, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of second-degree offering a false instrument for filing, according to lohud.com.

The charges stemmed from an October incident in which the women acknowledged slamming a female patient’s foot in a van door, lohud.com reported.
