According to a release from the New York State Police, Gregory Slater, 30, was arrested in Putnam Valley by officers operating out of the Stormville barracks and charged with a misdemeanor count of aggravated driving while intoxicated.
Slater was driving on the Taconic State Parkway on Tuesday when state troopers pulled him over “for failing to maintain (the vehicle’s) lane of travel.” While interviewing him during the traffic stop, Slater “exhibited clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.”
Upon further investigation, Slater provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent, more than double the legal 0.08 percent limit. Slater is due back in Putnam Valley Town Court on Thursday, March 5.
