Giovanna Osorio, 40, of 269 Columbus Ave., Apt. 5, Tuckahoe, was charged with second-degree burglary, two counts of third-degree assault and aggravated sexual abuse, all felonies.

Around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Osorio drove to the victim’s Rye Brook neighborhood in search of her husband, who once worked for the woman as a contractor, said Detective Sgt. Terrence Wilson of the Rye Brook Police Department.

“She found what she thought to be his car, but it wasn’t, because he was working in Stamford at the time,” Wilson said.

Osorio went to the residence and initially broke the kitchen window, but was too short to climb through, Wilson said. She opened the door using a copy of a key she had made that her husband had from when he worked there. Osorio then went upstairs to the victim’s bedroom, where the woman was sleeping alongside her small child, Wilson said.

The woman was startled but recognized Osorio from prior contact, and a scuffle ensued, Wilson said.

“The aggressor grabbed her hair and bit her on her nose,” he said. “She pushed her on the bed and grabbed her between her private area. She inserted her finger in the woman’s rectum, causing injury.”

Osorio left as the woman called the police. Wilson said Osorio returned to the residence and was quickly arrested. He said Osorio admitted what she had done and was ultimately charged.

She was arraigned before Rye Town Justice Anthony Provenzano and was sent to the Westchester County jail on $250,000 bond or $25,000 cash bail. She is due back in Rye Town Court on Wednesday.
