Yonkers Man Attacked By Man With Machete In Connecticut

A 34-year-old Yonkers man is recovering from being slashed by a machete in Waterbury, Conn., as police are searching for the suspect responsible in Saturday's attack, according to Waterbury-based Republican-American.

Waterbury police are investigating a machete attack that injured a Yonkers man, causing him to have two fingers partially amputated on his right hand, the Republican-American says.

Police said Christopher McGorman was walking on Willow Street when a man attacked with a stick and machete from a car. The victim had to have two fingers partially amputated on his right hand, and also had various bruises on his back and shoulders, the Republican-American says.

The man fled in a black Honda or Acura, the Republican-American reports.
