Eastchester Town Board Meets Tuesday

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The Eastchester Town Board will appoint members to the Lake Isle Advisory Board and hear two special presentations at its meeting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Eastchester Environmental Committee, which is encouraging local residents to bike and walk, and the Eastchester Columbus Day Parade Committee will each give presentations at the meeting. After those special presentations, new members of the Lake Isle Advisory Board will be appointed.

Following the appointments, the board is expected to approve several aspects of the Columbus Day celebration on Sunday. The Law Department will authorize Supervisor Anthony Colavita to execute and deliver a float-lease agreement between the town and New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce. He will also be granted permission to execute a contract for marching band services with Coppelia Enterprises and entertainment services with Le Grand Entertainment.

Besides Columbus Day parade agreements, there will be a resolution allowing Colavita to auction the sale of government assets online.
