Republican Mayor Mary Marvin and Trustee Robert Underhill – running on the Conservative line – and Randolph Mayer, who was chosen to fill the unexpired term of former Trustee Donald Gray last year, each won election and will serve two-year terms.
Mayer, a former member of the village Planning Board, ran on the Bronxville Citizens for Responsible Government line, citing a desire to maintain neutrality and party independence.
They join Trustees Anne Poorman and Guy Longobardo, whose terms end next year. It’s been nearly a decade since a Democrat challenged the all-Republican board, with the last failed attempt coming in 2006.
According to the village’s official website, "The board consists of a mayor and four trustees. The mayor is the chief executive of the village and is responsible for the conduct of public meetings and certain appointments. The mayor and trustees all have one equal vote for the adoption of resolutions.”
