Trump has toyed with running for the Oval Office several times since 1988, but never formally declared. The man expected to be worth billions now enters a bloated Republican field, but could draw enough support to be included in Fox and CNN's debates, which require candidates to be in the top 10 in national polling, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Trump is the third New Yorker to enter the presidential fray along with Garrison's George Pataki and Chappaqua's Hillary Clinton.
