WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Despite being asked by intermediaries for the Republican Governors Association to stay away from an RGA meeting in Aspen, Colo., Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino made an appearance anyway and received support from some high-profile members of his party in the process, reports Politico.

According to the report, Astorino was asked not to show up at the event this past week over his conflict with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who labeled Astorino's run for New York governor "a lost cause."

Texas Gov. Rick Perry urged Astorino to make an appearance at the meeting, and even posed with Astorino to further show his support, according to the report.

“Glad to be with my buddy @RobAstorino in Aspen,” Perry wrote in a tweet.

Politico also reported a brief encounter between Astorino and Christie in Aspen "didn't go well," citing sources but without providing detail.

All these politicians are lost causes ! Its time the people rid themselves of these crooks. They never do whats Iin the best interest of the people. Idk why the Southern
District attorneys office doesnt start putting these corrupt politicians behind bars where they belong?

As an independent - I am sick of all of them. I've tried calling both offices to get some answers to questions regarding the Scores of "undocumented" migrants - I guess that is the new PC buzzword - they have been sent to numerous areas in Westchester County - Ossining, Pleasantville, Irvington, Dobbs Ferry, Yonkers, Valhalla, etc.. I have nothing against these people - but who is going to pay for them? What about Health Screenings ? The ELITE Royal Ruling class will be well protected behind private gated & guarded communities - while our taxes will go up . Sneaking them in without any regard to the public you are "hired" to serve, not the other way around! I can't get out of NY fast enough!

The problem with most politicians is that all they really care about is their OWN Political Career . Cuomo regime is tiresome already & Christie is just as bad. Time to Elect those that ARE in touch with we the people, not We Their SUBJECTS . They all try to be little Kings!

Its all about the money !

and this is something to be proud of?

Face it New York is ONLY about money for the HAVES.

Look Cuomo gave $5,000,000 to the Letterman Show to stay in New York after the other Cuomo supporter takes over.

It creates nothing but giving taxpayer money to the HAVES for their political endorsement.

Would you expect anything less ?

Face it Christie smells the money, he is playing to it along with the endorsements he will get. Another Andy Cuomo, its all about ME.

One "happy" place with YOUR MONEY for the HAVES.

Christie is a complete fraud and needs to go away. He is an establishment RINO with zero conservative bona fides.

Mr. Christie's refusal to back a Republican candidate like Mr. Astorino would make Ronald Reagan turn over in his grave. And, this man from NJ has the notion he's presidential material? As my Aunt Ida used to say, "Who died and left you boss?"

The President of the RGA has one job- get more Republican Governors elected. If they don't want to work to do that then let someone take over the position who will.

That's ok, Christie's presidential bid is a lost cause too. Let him enjoy his alliance with King of No Ethics Cuomo and remember him walking hand in hand with Obama after Sandy. RINO

Seems to me Christie is more the "lost cause".
